How to install curtain rails

The correct placement of the curtain rail is very important for the curtains to fall neatly. Here we offer some valuable tips on how to do it.

Placement of curtain rail

A stucco, smooth transition between wall and ceiling or deep window sills can be decisive for the placement of the rail.

If you choose a roof rail, the placement must take into account any stucco, meeting between wall and ceiling and be placed at a distance so that the undulating folds of the curtain do not touch the window sill.

Wave curtains from the ceiling: place the rail 5 cm (+any windowsill & elements) from the wall. If you want double curtain rails, the distance between the rails must be 10 cm, so that both curtains have room to fall freely.

Pleated curtains from the ceiling: place the rail 2 cm (+any window sill & element) from the wall. If you want double curtain rails, the distance between the rails must be 3 cm, so that both curtains have room to fall freely.

Install curtain brackets

All our curtain rails come in complete packages with brackets that fit both ceiling and wall. You easily mount the brackets to the ceiling or wall with plugs and screws that suit the conditions of your wall/ceiling.

A good guideline is that the distance between each bracket should be approximately 75-80 cm.

When the fasteners are in place, simply click into the rail!
